Susan has been providing psychotherapy, teaching and mentoring to front line professionals for 25 years. Her approach integrates clinical experience, neurobiological understanding, and decades of frontline exposure to ensure treatment is relevant, practical, and grounded in real‑world first responder challenges. Individual therapy sessions focus on helping clients build resilience, process critical incidents, and develop long‑term strategies for maintaining psychological health throughout their careers.

Susan’s current focus of psychotherapy is working with senior members of first response organizations; those who are mid career and beyond.

Tactical team training and individual stress response training, based in neurobiological understanding of stress response, Susan maintains a practice in assisting exceptionally high stress occupational challenges.

Susan provides individual treatment for first responder post critical events.

◈ Violence‑Related Incident Support

First responder violence incident treatment. Susan has advanced experience working with first responders who are the subject of incident violence.

Organizational wellness health management training. Ongoing work and training with First Responder Wellness Programs.

Fees & Insurance Coverage

Psychotherapy fees are not currently covered by OHIP, however many extended health benefits plans through your employer may have coverages for all or part of the hourly fees. Please contact your insurance provider or your human resources department for details.

Booking & Availability

Individual therapy sessions are available for first responders across Ontario and can be scheduled based on operational demands, shift work, and organizational needs. Flexible appointment times are offered to accommodate unpredictable schedules and critical incident follow‑ups.
